LCBO
Issue: Repair and replace asphalt in loading dock area of the client site to sustain the weight of 53′ tractor trailers and other heavy vehicles.
Project Scope: Excavate existing work area. Completely remove asphalt. Remove original substrate to ensure the work area was properly prepared for the installation of new gravel and new concrete.
A standard depth of 8 inches of concrete was poured over 18 inches of gravel base.
Ahead of the curing period the surface was broom finished to provide both traction and a nice cosmetic finish.
Sewer Repair
Issue: Original sewer line was aged and failing. The existing cast iron lines required replacement.
Project Scope: This project required: Saw cutting, excavation, removal of ALL original material; unexpected rock was encountered requiring ‘hoe ramming’ in order to continue the installation of the new sewer line.
Several areas of the existing slab had also deteriorated from repeated forklift traffic. The project involved the cutting out of the damaged concrete areas and the installation of new rebar ensuring that the new concrete section successfully adhered to the existing slab providing a integrally uniform surface.
